Robinwing felt a gentle touch on her shoulder. From the corner of her eyes, she saw that it was Aspenfur's tail. Enjoying the feeling of comradery, she didn't shift away. The she-cat's words led her thoughts to her own memories of gatherings. It was a nice being able to talk to other cats without wariness or constant anxiety that someone will attack. Robinwing loved being a warrior and would defend her clan with tooth and claw if necessary, but she didn't exactly enjoy the constant hostility some cats seemed to always have for felines of other clans.
"Yes... I would want to be chosen to go as well," Robinwing meowed softly, her green eyes gazing out into the distance. "It would be nice to know how everyone is doing; we haven't had news from other clans recently almost at all." The river gurgled by her paw, slung lazily over the rock. The white fur on the tip of her paws were wet with the foam that sprayed against the stone.

Goldenfeather gave a stretch and stood up. She noticed Robinwing and Aspenfur laying next to each other peacefully, and she closed her eyes. I may as well leave. I should go to the camp and do something else of merit. Sitting around for a long time won't catch prey. She turned to the pair. "I'm going to head back to the camp. You want me to pass on any messages or something?" She may as well offer that service because it would seem akward to just get up and leave. The river was beaconing her, but she ignored it. She turned her head toward the camp. The sun reflected light off of the river, and Goldenfeather shook her head, momentarily blinded. I wish I could have had a friend like that, she thought wistfully, but then again, I never really talke any steps to get friends, so I suppose that's the issue. She gave a sigh. Maybe if my sister hadn't fled like that, I may have had a few more friends... She could have helped me. but she had to leave...Maybe it was for the better. Goldenfeather shook her head slightly. I shouldn't focus on the past. I should try to make a future.

Aspenfur pouted as Goldenfeather stood up. She didn't want anyone else to leave. She wanted to stay here and lay in the sun and make more friends. Having a close family made it seem like she didn't need friends and she guessed that's what it looked like to her clan mates because she didn't have many, but she felt like Robinwing and Goldenfeather had just joined her ranks. She knew at least Reedheart was her friend without a doubt.
"Do you really have to?" whined Aspenfur. "Can't you stay?"
She rolled her shoulders, extending her claws and kneading against the rock. A warm glow of happiness had descended over her and she didn't really feel like having to move. A small part of her thought that if she did, she would loose what she'd gained here. Sometimes, lazy days were the best days.
"Well, if you're going," Aspenfur offered. "Tell Reedheart he's a furball." Then she rolled onto her side, leaning more heavily against Robinwing, and dipped her tail in the water.

Goldenfeather glanced at Robinwing. "I guess I can stay if you really want me to..." I don't really want to tell Reedheart that tidbit of info either... Aspenfur dipped her tail into the water. Goldenfeather glanced at the rushing river water. It must be freezing now. "Do you think we should fish? We may as well get some when we head back, and it's getting late." A fish would definently soothe Goldenfeather's stomach. She padded over to the edge of the river. There weren't any fish there right now, but maybe later some fish would come and they could take some to the camp. Stonestar would appreciate it. It would give her muscles a stretch as well. Some of the apprentices should come and fish with them. It would get their muscles ready, not to mention the stealth it would teach. You had to be pretty stealthy to catch a fish. In the shade of a tree it was easier...
Rain started to drip from the trees. "Well, I guess the fish will come out soon..." She blew water away from her muzzle. A few drops got into her eyes, but she ignored them. Riverclan cats should be use to water by now, but she chuckled, imagining the other clans. Shadowclan would probably be fine, but she couldn't imagine Windclan and Thunderclan having a good time.

((Due to inactivity Robinwing has been removed from this thread. Explanation: She got up, gave a short excuse, and headed off towards camp.))
