Laurelpaw

Behind the Name

{Laurel} is a beautiful white flower, and was chosen to represent her long white fur.
{Paw} represents her rank as an apprentice.

Personality

Appearance

Long is perhaps the best word to describe Laurel. Her long, feathery tail cascades in a smooth flow from her long and slender form. Longer legs gingerly sashay her about, and a regal long fluffy neck proudly supports her head. The she-cat's defined muzzle rests below her distinct blue eyes which act as an open book. All her emotions, flighty as they may be, can easily be read from her passionate expressions. She is average in height with medium to long fur. The coloring is primarily white but her dark socks, mask, nose splotch, ears, and tail. A faint darker mark also trails along the length of her spine before dissolving into white.

History

The daughter of Sootspot and Lightpool, Laurelkit was born into a family full of love. Her siblings Daisykit and Magpiekit were not nearly as obnoxiously driven to explore, but after enough teasing they would follow her anywhere. It wasn't long until they managed to escape the camp's borders and wander their way through the marsh. Along their journey the ever cautious Magpiekit accidentally snagged his ear upon a bramble thorn and will forever carry a slight nick, and possibly a small grudge against his sister. A few moons later Laurelkit was boasting about her climbing abilities and launched herself up one of the pine boughs. As she climbed the tree her paws slipped and she came tumbling down onto the forest floor.

Due to the accident Laurelkit had the misfortune of watching her littermates receive their apprentice names and mentors without her. Her left hind leg had been sprained badly and it took several moons to heal. The day did come, though, when she was given her new name and the mentor Dapplewing. The poor she-cat had a hard time keeping up with Laurelpaw's constant energy, and her habit to always wander off and find Rookfeather. When she had just turned ten moons Dapplewing had to step down as her mentor in order to give birth to a litter of fabulous kittens. In her place the leader chose Rookfeather. Laurel was overjoyed and is excited to spend so much time with the lovely dark feline.
