28 MOONS -TOM - HETEROSEXUAL
RIVERCLAN - LEADER
USER: KATSTICA
Behind the Name
Stone- Given to him for the dark-grey coloration of his fur and the strength, sturdiness and stamina that a stone symbolizes.
Whisker- For his exceptional hunting skills.
Personality
Assertive- Stonestar has always been overly assertive and to-the-point. He will often play the 'alpha male' role and use unnecessary force against cats who he believes need to be punished. With little regard for the opinion of others, he will make rash and erratic decisions and will not stand for anyone to question or ridicule him. Because of his youth, he is defensive about his choices and thinks that he must be firm in his decisions even if he is obviously making a wrong choice. To him, if he admits himself to be wrong, it is a major failure on his part. "A leader is never wrong." So he says.
Serious- His face is hardly ever seen without a dissatisfied frown. He has always been humorless and bland, but now with his newly appointed leadership, he feels it makes him seem more mature and 'leader-like' to be seen without a smile. Though this faceless personality is influenced by his desperate attempts to convince those around him that he is fit to lead, his natural personality isn't exactly what one would call, bright.
Immature- Where as he is very serious and carries a cold demeanor, Stonestar is inexperienced and young. He has a boyish and battle-hungry nature, and is constantly looking to prove he is worthy of the leader title. Due to this, the young tom is easily swayed by promises of glory or recognition, which causes him to jump head-first into battle, with his clan at his tail. Perhaps someday he will begin to see things with a clearer head and grow out of his stage.
Arrogant- Stonestar is overconfident in his abilities, which often causes him to get hurt by stupid trials he sets for himself. He is convinced that he can overcome any obstacle, so this paired with his immaturity duels for a dangerous mix. He will never hesitate to accept a challenge, no matter how impossible. This trait may be one of the reasons why Stonestar is the youngest leader, with the amount of least lives.
Noble- His saving trait. Where as Stonestar can often seem self-centered and careless, he usually only wants what's best for RiverClan. However his early given power has had him struggling with morals and he often has trouble with deciding what to do in tough or tempting situations. It is obvious to those close to him that he isn't exactly fit to lead a clan at his current stage in life. What he really needs is somebody to guide him properly, but he is stubborn and won't listen to any lectures or lessons that anyone might try and offer him. After all, he is the leader. It would make him look incapable if he listened to anyone else.. right?
Either way, this trait doesn't help him when it comes to thinking things through before jumping in to assist someone.

Appearance
Stonestar is a sturdy and broad-shouldered tom. His limbs are somewhat splayed from his body, giving him a balanced and well-developed grip to his footing. His eyes are a yellow-green color that are far-set on his face, they can appear differently to cats' depending on the lighting. He has a wide nose to balance the space between his eyes and an overall very abroad facial structure.
With his grey streaked fur, he can blend in easily against barren grounds or rocky surfaces, this aids him when it comes to hunting or fishing for prey. In addition to his dark tabby markings, he also possess three deep gashes in his hind-leg and small nick in his left ear.

History
ENTER
Stonekit was the only surviving kit of his litter, with the rest of his early siblings being still-born. Though despite his lack of play-mates, he was always an overly rambunctious kit and even then his confidence was beaming.
As a youngster, he couldn't wait to become an apprentice and learn how to protect his clan against threats. He would often climb on his little rock outside the nursery and preach to the fellow kits about battle plans for attacking ThunderClan over Sunningrocks. They would then proceed to raid the fresh-kill pile, an act that often got them scolded by Queens and Warriors alike.
CHORES AND TRAINING
Stonepaw was thrilled when he was given his apprentice ceremony. So far it had been the most important event in his life. And it was no surprise when he began to grow into one of the most skilled apprentices, with all his confidence and determination at his heals he had nothing to hold him back.
However, sometime during his time serving as an apprentice, Stonepaw began growing moody and cold. He started to look down on many apprentices and warriors alike thinking himself better than they, more skilled, and more deserving. He became easily jealous of those who excelled where he lacked, which drove him to push harder in his training. Though he had began to hold distaste for even his mentor by then. It certainly didn't help when his parents' second litter was born. When his constant stream of prideful praises began to slow and attention turned.
. . .
Once, when the river ran low and the fish where dwindling, a stray rabbit wandered over from the WindClan boarder during one of the waterless hunting patrols. Instead of alerting the rest of the patrol, Stonepaw verged off from the others and decided to hunt it on his own, something he had never tried to do with such a large prey animal. Needless to say, he ended up returning to camp empty-pawed with a raw nose and a nasty tear in his ear which he still holds to this day as a mark of his selfish stupidity.
A NEW NAME
Stonewhisker was relieved when he was named a warrior. It meant no chores, and no more pesky mentors to boss him around. However, Troutstar, the elderly RiverClan leader at the time, had began to grow erratic and unpredictable. Often making strange or rash decisions without a second thought. The RiverClan cats had started to question his ability to lead the clan properly, but no-one dared oppose him. He had lead their clan wisely for countless seasons and was greatly respected by all the cats in the forest.
Fortunately, Stonewhisker had finally grown out of his jealousy for others and had began to respect those who were more skilled at him in certain aspects, rather than completely out-casting them. Though he never quite got along with his younger siblings, and often shot a disapproving glare their way or gave them a cold shoulder whenever they interacted.
. . .
Some time after his warrior name was given to him, Stonewhisker was assigned an apprentice to train. He was pleased to be able to pass on his knowledge and was overjoyed at the thought of being responsible for Mothpaw's training.
The two got along surprisingly well and would often participate in duel training sessions with other mentors and apprentices.
Eventually though, Mothpaw became Mothflight, taking after her mentor with her superb hunting skills and speed.
SURPRISE SURPRISE
Not many moons later the RiverClan deputy, Longstream, was found bobbing lifelessly at the water's shore. Due to the swelling found behind his ears, he was presumed to have slipped and knocked himself unconscious before falling into the river and drowning. All of RiverClan greived for his death and everyone, including Stonewhisker, was surprised when Troutstar appointed Stonewhisker deputy. There had been so many other obvious choices for the role of deputy, and the clan was outraged that someone so young was entrusted with the rank. Stonewhisker was overwhelmed by the amount of opposing cats towards him and his new-found duties, but he accepted the position greedily.
A STAR OF STONE {I have to rush the rest of the way, I'm about to get on a plane ^^' I will go into more detail and fix up any typos when I can.}
Only a few moons passed before Troutstar was found dead in his nest. There was no certain cause of death, but it was clear that the old tom's age had caught up with him.
Stonestar received his lives from StarClan and named Oatclaw his deputy, a brawny and worthy tom.
All went relatively smoothly for a few moons. Surprisingly, nobody opposed Stonestar.
He has however, already lost two lives.
The first one was lost to a hawk, which severed his iliac artery in his hind leg. The scar almost wraps around his entire leg from the way he twisted in it's grasp while trying to protect a kit against it's cruel talons.
The second was lost to a two-leg's dog, Oatclaw also lost his life. (leaving room for the new deputy to be named IC)

"Oh, and the bloodshed you have caused!" The medicine cat's mournful cries filled the dusty clearing, her parted words muffled by the dense foliage choking the edges of the tiny glade.
"I told you, I told you! I told him too, Troutstar that fool!"
Stonestar listened to her wails in silent agony, the old she-cat had always known how to press him. How get to his core. His slate colored paws itched to run. He wanted to just get away from her, she was right, he knew. But he didn't want to admit to himself that all this had been his fault. No, he couldn't admit it.
"This is your doing!" Ashberry spat venomously as she rounded on Stonestar, her yellow turned teeth bared with hostility."You started this, now end it! Before more blood is drawn, Stonestar. How many lives have you lost now? So many you don't have the courage to tell even me. And I'm not just talking about your own."
A sudden flare of anger stirred the dark tabby tom from his position, causing a flurry of dust to coat his paws, "How dare you." He glowered, his pale green eyes ignited with what could have been anguish just as well as fury. "I will not stand down after what they did to us. RiverClan will not be made to look week in the face of those snake-tongued fools-"
"Listen to yourself!" Ashberry screeched desperately before lowing her voice into little more than a crackled plea, "What you have done to us is far worse than what the others could ever do."
"I have done nothing but bring RiverClan to victory, we have not lost yet. Have hope in our warriors!" Stonestar's flank twitched with anger and his pelt prickled uneasily, but the gesture was not directed towards Ashberry. His anger was now purely reserved for himself. /Oh StarClan, what have I done? Is it too late to reverse this, or is war now inevitable?/
"How can you justify what you've done?" The elderly medicine cat hissed, her hackles raised.
"You are the bane of RiverClan!"
