Aspenfur

Behind the Name

Aspenfur didn't really do anything special. Her coat is closely related to the bark of an aspen tree, and she's naturally attracted to climbing trees, probably because of the name.

Personality

She developed a feisty and protective nature and has incredible loyalty to her family. She is quick to anger, and to take offense, a little slower to forgive. She's stubborn but kind in small ways, mostly to her friends. As a warrior, she's a little calmer, but still fierce and determined.

Appearance

She's a light grey she-cat with short fur. Her pelt is shadowed with slightly darker grey stripes, like the knots in Aspen bark. Her tail, slightly longer than normal, is tipped with the darkest grey, nearing black and her eyes are an ambiguous amber green. She's a little on the slender side, thinly built and because of it, not a very good swimmer, although she can and does enjoy water. She only has one scar, a thick scratch racing diagonally across her back hips from her first battle as an apprentice.

History

Aspenfur was born to Morningclaw and Ripplepelt along with two brothers, Stonekit and Molekit. She grew up pretty normally. Stonekit, being the oldest and the biggest, played a little too rough for his younger sister and brother, and Aspenkit spent most of her time sticking up for Molekit, who is the smallest. When she was an apprentice, she got in a little bit of trouble, climbing an oak tree too high to get down. During her first battle, she suffered a deep violent wound to her back hips, running right across the base of her tail. She was too wounded to move for a week and has been mildly traumatized because of it, tending to freeze in battle. Her mentor, Oaktail, has tried to make things better, even once her training was completed, but she's still a defensive and hesitant fighter.
